A house is a series of rooms with a certain number of square feet. A home is a series of spaces with a certain number of cubic feet. Focusing on the invisible, the negative space, the receptor and holder of all life experiences is the gateway to the sacred, within, without and everywhere. Integrating a full gestalt holistic integration of sub spaces with the prime space of a room, using all the furnishings whose holistic cellular aspects, a multitude of well defined and implied sub space, using implied plane and lines, such that each subspace is carefully designed or arranged to support specific desired behavior. When there’s a seamless felt connection between our inner cellular nature, the cellular nature of the outdoors with the cellular nature of a collection of subspaces within a collection of spaces, say a house, a HOME then appears.

A Unique Design and Coaching Approach to Affordable Personal Environments.
SpaceBehavior a.k.a. SpaceTherapy® is like a personal environment consulting/coaching service. The service was created to help you become more aware of the subtle ways in which your workplaces and homes are affecting your feelings, emotions, social interactions, behaviors, and thus your performance and sense of well being.
Our places of work and living represent a collection of spaces created for our needs, and designed for the varied activities of our lives: living, learning, working, and thriving. We call these spaces our ‘PERSONAL ENVIRONMENTS’. The way we use these spaces has an impact on our individual and social behavior. Every space we experience influences our emotions in some way.
SpaceBehavior is often the missing ingredient to interior design and decorating, the importance of fully understanding how the spaces you are given or created for you are having a profound impact on your behavior.
Interior designers apply creative and technical solutions within a structure that are functional, attractive and beneficial to the occupants’ quality of life and culture.
Decoration is the furnishing or adorning of a space with fashionable or beautiful things.
In short, interior designers may decorate, but decorators do not design.
And architects may do interior design and decorate, but decorators and interior designers do not do architecture.
Feng shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000 years ago in China. It is a complex body of knowledge, and somewhat esoteric, that teaches how to balance the chi energies in any given space – be it a home, office or garden – in order to assure good fortune for people inhabiting it. I studied Black Hat Feng Shui under H.H. Grand Master, Thomas Lin Yun Rinpoche, and use to teach it and still use, as clients desire, some of it’s principles in my design and consulting.
My approach is in combining comprehensive knowledge of principles from architectural and interior design, environmental and architectural psychology, evidenced based neuroscience research, psychoneuroimmunology, the ancient art and science of placement (Feng Shui, Vastu Shastra), advanced common sense, and over thirty years of professional experience. With insightful commentary on how easily we can Change Our Space to Change Our Life©, my passion and focus is on how positive manipulation of your personal environments can enhance behavior, performance, and your sense of well being.
